Adagio Health VP of Clinical Operations to Join Hep Free PA Advisory Committee

Pittsburgh, PA (April 11, 2023) – Adagio Health Vice President of Clinical Operations, Natalie Miller, has been nominated by her peers at the state for a position on the Hep Free PA Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee was formed to assist in the governance and decision-making for the entire state.  The Advisory Committee represents the entire Hep Free PA Coalition.  Goals include raising awareness and reducing stigma around Hepatitis B and C among both patients and providers. Miller will serve Hep Free PA for two years: 2023 – 2025. Miller was notified of her nomination by Jocelyn Hillman, Division of Surveillance, Bureau of Epidemiology, Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Miller first recognized the need for improved screening and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) treatment modalities while providing primary care at a treatment facility several years ago and treating the co-morbidities associated with substance use disorder. Miller played a pivotal role in designing and rolling out Adagio Health’s PrEP program to protect patients from HIV infection.  She also advocated for state covered HCV testing and it is now included in the state’s PPA Contract (STD Program).  Miller and the Clinical Operations team rolled out HCV treatment at Adagio Health in March 2023 and are now treating affected patients at Adagio Health medical offices throughout western Pennsylvania.
