Adagio Health is the fourth largest WIC provider in Pennsylvania, serving
more than 12,000 residents of Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and
Indiana counties each year. Through the WIC program, Adagio Health provides
food and nutrition education to expectant mothers and breastfeeding
mothers as well as their infants and children each year. Adagio Health
also provides educational materials about breastfeeding to pregnant
women and new mothers and has breast pumps available for breastfeeding
mothers. Read more about the WIC program.
Adagio Health's registered dietitians offer professional nutrition
information for individuals needing guidance due to health conditions
(e.g., allergies, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, digestive disorders) and lifestyle
choices (e.g., vegetarianism, sports nutrition, weight control). Dietitians
are also available for community presentations, counseling sessions,
and other group events. Read more about the nutrition
counseling services.
Adagio Health's Dietetic Internship is an intensive, community-based
program providing instruction and supervised experience in all areas
of dietary practice. It provides dietetic professionals with an opportunity
to increase their knowledge of food and nutrition science and to acquire
the competencies needed to practice dietetics in both traditional and
community settings. Upon successful completion of the program, each
intern will receive a Verification of Completion Certificate and be
registration eligible. Read more about Adagio Health's Dietetic Internship program.
