Adagio Health provides quality, affordable reproductive health care
to more than 100,000 women, men, and teens throughout western Pennsylvania
each year. A person walking into any one of Adagio Health's offices
finds a full range of health services provided by a caring staff.
At Adagio Health, family planning care is both confidential and comprehensive.
More than 65,000 women use our family planning services each year. Family
planning care includes pregnancy testing, birth control, emergency contraception,
breast and cervical cancer screening, screening and treatment for sexually
transmitted diseases, and comprehensive gynecological care. More detailed

Adagio Health provides care for pregnant women from their first prenatal
visit through delivery. Comprehensive prenatal care services are tailored
to meet the individual needs of expectant mothers. Adagio Health provides
or arranges for such special care as nutrition counseling, home medical
visits, transportation assistance, parenting classes, and substance
abuse counseling.
In addition:
The Women, Infants, and Children
(WIC) nutrition program provides food and nutrition education to pregnant
women and young children. Adagio Health is the fourth largest WIC provider
in Pennsylvania.
Adagio Health's Healthy Start House
provides residential care to pregnant women and women with young children.
New mothers learn to care for their infants while gaining emotional
and physical strength and making connections to community resources.
Healthy Start House also provides prenatal and postpartum education

STD testing and treatment, HIV/AIDS testing, counseling, and referral
for HIV/AIDS treatment are available at all Adagio Health locations.

Free screening for breast and cervical cancer, including mammography,
is provided for eligible women ages 40 and older at Adagio Health sites
throughout western Pennsylvania. Our program, available through a partnership
with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Komen Pittsburgh
Race for the Cure®, includes extensive education and outreach. Adagio
Health's cancer screening program has alerted more than 15,000 women
to the importance of mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer.
